About This Series
2019 is the year of our 20th anniversary as a church and this year’s countdown retreat marks the start of a series of exciting initiatives and events in celebration of God’s faithfulness over the past 20 years! It’s a time for us to come together as one big Brighton family to be in the presence of God. We’re gonna take this time to pray and catch a fresh vision for the church, and usher in the year of our 20th anniversary together!

- 1. Think about the many Brightonites who have made sacrifices to build this church that we enjoy. Why do you think they did it? Is there something within you that wants to do the same?
- 2. Why do we feel a tension to keep our options open and yet also to belong in committed relationships? What fears stop you from committing yourself fully to this church?
- 3. Do you sense God’s call on you to build Brighton Community Church with your brothers and sisters? What more do you think you can do to contribute?

- 1. What causes people to transit from knowing God as a concept to God as a reality? What’s the difference between the two? Has the change happened to you personally, and how?
- 2. What are two convictions that should deepen in us as we grow in our knowledge of God? How will you live and worship differently as you grow in these convictions?
- 3. How have you been calculative towards God? What is stopping you from responding to him without reservation?
