
This course offers a survey of the New Testament world, as well as a study of the Pauline Epistles. It highlights the historical, social, economic and religious backgrounds behind the beginning of Christianity within the Greco-Roman world of the First Century and will include a study of the occasions and purposes leading to the writing of these books. Special emphasis will be placed on the major theological themes of each letter, thus providing an important foundation for understanding the theology of the early church.

A study of the first five books of the Bible seeing God’s handiwork of creation, His plan for mankind when sin entered the earth, and an emphasis on the birth and development of a nation chosen by God. God’s nature, love, mercy, and guidance of His people will be seen through this study.

Old Testament Foundations 1 | Pentateuch
Synopsis: This course covers the basic principles of interpreting the Old Testament, and provides a study of its first 5 books - the Pentateuch. It includes the study of the historical, geographical and cultural background of each book, as well as outlines of their content. Special emphasis will be placed on the major theological themes of each book, providing an important foundation for interpreting and understanding the rest of the Old Testament.
